Coffee · Bakery · Weekend brunch — East End, Portland
Bread from five.Coffee from seven.
We’re a small bakehouse on Munjoy Hill. We make the sourdough and the laminated pastry here every morning, the coffee comes from a roaster ten minutes down the road, and on weekends we do brunch until two.

Flat whites, proper crust, and a case that empties by one.
Two of us. One oven. Since 2019.
Jonah does the bread. Priya does the pastry and the coffee. Whoever is less covered in flour talks to you.
We met working the early shift at a bakery in Boston and moved up the coast because we wanted to bake in a neighborhood, not for one. The oven arrived on a flatbed in March 2019 and we’ve lit it every morning since, including the mornings we probably shouldn’t have.
Hollowmere is the pond Jonah grew up next to. The starter is older than the shop. The playlist is Priya’s and not up for discussion.
Order ahead. We’ll have it ready.

“The croissant is the reason I moved to the East End. Half joking. Order ahead on Saturdays or accept your fate.”
“Bread with a real crust, coffee that tastes like coffee, and they remembered my dog’s name before mine.”
Open every day. Come early for the good stuff.
Pastry is usually gone by one. Brunch plates run Saturday and Sunday until two, then it’s coffee and whatever’s left in the case. You’ll find us on Munjoy Hill, in the East End.
